DESCRIPTION:The Essentials workshop is the foundation for workplace wellbeing\, and it’s at the core of everything we do at The Mental Health Toolkit. \nThis half-day session takes you through the Mental Health Continuum – the spectrum of mental health that we are all on – and introduces you to the Emotional Needs & Resources approach. \nUnmet emotional needs trigger symptoms of mental ill health. Understanding how to meet them helps you understand what you need to be well\, and enables you to take care of yourself and those around you. \n\nTo mark World Mental Health Day\, we’re funding places for anyone living in Mid and North East Essex to attend this session for free. This training usually costs £95 per person.

DESCRIPTION:What will it cover?\nUnfortunately\, personality disorders can be stigmatised in society. Those affected by them may face misconceptions\, judgment\, and discrimination in various aspects of life. The stigma around personality disorders can arise due to a lack of understanding and awareness about these conditions. \nOur training\, written with the influence and participation of those with lived experience of personality disorders is for anyone who would like to learn more about Personality Disorders and Emotional Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) (Formally known as Borderline Personality Disorder BPD). \nThe training aims to: \n\nIncreased knowledge and broaden understanding of Personality Disorders and Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder\nDevelop awareness of best practice and improved confidence when engaging with individuals experiencing EUPD\nRaise awareness of the range of services and interventions available for those experiencing EUP\nRecognise that everyone has a role in promoting inclusion and challenging stigma of the EUPD diagnosis\n\n£50.00 \n\nWhen is it?\n\nThursday 15th October from 1:30pm – 4:30pm (online via MS Teams)\n\nFor more information regarding delivering this training externally to a group\, please contact us using the details provided below.

DESCRIPTION:What will it cover?\nSpot the Signs is a fully funded 3-hour suicide prevention training designed for GPs\, Primary Care Network staff\, and voluntary sector employees within Hertfordshire\, UK who work with adults. It may also benefit anyone working in health or social care settings. (Please note: this training is not available to those outside the UK.) \nThe training introduces the Spot the Signs and Save a Life campaign and aims to raise awareness of suicide while providing practical steps to help attendees feel more confident recognising and responding to people who may be at risk. DESCRIPTION:What will it cover?\nThis course offers a sensitive and practical introduction to domestic abuse\, helping participants build awareness of the different forms abuse can take—including physical\, emotional\, psychological\, financial\, and coercive control. Through real-world case studies and discussion\, attendees will explore how domestic abuse affects individuals and families\, and how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and consent intersect with the topic. \nParticipants will gain confidence in recognising signs of abuse\, understanding risk\, and responding in a safe and trauma-informed way. The session includes guided practice using the DASH risk assessment tool and introduces key elements of safety planning.
