DESCRIPTION:This training\, commissioned by Public Health Workplaces\, is an introduction to basic suicide awareness for everyone who works in Bedford Borough\, Central Bedfordshire\, & Milton Keynes only.  \nThis training is delivered online\, and the session is 2 hrs 30 minutes. \nAround 7\,000 people die by suicide each year in the UK and 1 in 5 will experience suicidal thoughts at some point in their life. \n \nBy attending you will:-\n\nRecognise the signs and symptoms of someone who may be experiencing suicidal thoughts.\nLearn practical tools and techniques to support a person in crisis\, including the StayAlive app.\nDevelop communication skills to engage with someone who might be at risk whilst at work and beyond.\nUnderstand the importance of early professional help and how to encourage it.\n\n  \nSpaces are limited and must be pre-booked – please see below for online dates: \nPlease click here to book. You will need to scroll on the calendar to the month you wish to book and click onto the date.
