Train as a Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider®) and receive three years of certification, plus access to ongoing benefits.
This course is ideal for individuals who would like to become an MHFAider® to gain the knowledge and skills to spot signs of people experiencing poor mental health, be confident to start a conversation and signpost a person to appropriate support.​
As an MHFAider® you will be able to:
- Recognise and support people who may be experiencing poor mental health
- Signpost to sources of professional help and other support
- Practise active listening and empathy
- Speak confidently about mental health language and stigma
- Understand the boundaries and confidentiality of the MHFAider® role
- Practise self-care
This training is held 9am-5pm over 2 sessions; 21st and 22nd October 2026.
Please note that this building has limited access for people using mobility aids. There is a ramp from the street to the entrance, and a lift to the main lobby area, but there is no lift to the first floor training room. The building also has narrow walkways and stairs.
Parking is available at either Chequers Lane (up to 3 hours) or White Street (all day).
