Understand your mind and body and how breathing can help you to manage your emotions and reduce stress with our Keeping Calm workshop.
This 1-hour workshop will help you:
- Learn a powerful and practical breathing exercise
- Increase awareness of how the mind-body system works
- Lower stress
We recommend attending The Essentials workshop to get a good base-level understanding before attending the other Mental Health Toolkit courses.
Course Plan
The Keeping Calm workshop covers:
- What is mindful breathing?
- What are the benefits of diaphragmatic breathing?
- Our parasympathetic nervous system
- Attention, which is an emotional need and a resource
- How to do Mindful Breathing – supported practice in the session
The course is run a on supply and demand basis but at only £25 per person we often get booked up quickly.
This course requires a minimum of 6 participants to run, and has a maximum capacity of 12 participants.
